Is it Natural?

Is it kosher?
SafeLain smart expiration indicators are made from a pigment of beets and essential nutrients, so yes.
Will it change the effects of the products being monitored?
No, but since antioxidants are often used as preservatives it may make them last slightly longer and/or change the color (as it is supposed to do).
What are Betalains?
They are a family of pigments found in 9 plant families, but most familiar are the cacti fruit and beets. They come in a range of colors such as red, orange, yellow, purple and magenta. They are responsible for the color changing properties of beets. For more information, click here.

Oxidation is a type of chemical reaction where molecules lose electrons. It is responsible for many phenomena seen in the world including rusting, expiration of food and drugs, fire, and mutations of DNA.
Why do vitamins and medications expire?
